Triple Threat for the WWE Women’s Tag Team Titles: The IIconics vs. Alexa Bliss and Nikki Cross vs. Sasha Banks and Bayley

We go to the ring for tonight’s opener and out first comes Alexa Bliss and Nikki Cross. The IIconics are out next, Peyton Royce and Billie Kay. We go backstage to Charly Caruso with the WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions, Sasha Banks and SmackDown Women’s Champion Bayley. There’s some

The bell rings and Cross, Bayley and Kay start tings off. Cross ends up getting double teamed and dropped in the middle of the ring. Banks comes in for more chaos in the ring. The three teams have a stand off in the middle of the ring now. Banks, Royce and Bliss tie up now. Royce with a roll up on Banks for 2 as Bliss breaks it up. They continue to trade offense before stopping to knock the others off the apron. Another stand off in the middle of the ring. Cross takes Banks to a corner while Royce and Bliss are in another. Cross and Bliss get the upperhand and in comes Cross off a tag.

Royce levels Cross with a kick to the face for a 2 count. Bayley comes in off a tag but the referee didn’t see it. He makes them re-do it. Bayley works over Royce and Cross now. Bayley with shoulder thrusts in the corner. Kay comes in and levels Cross with a big boot for a 2 count as Bayley breaks it up. Kay stomps on Cross and shows frustration.

Kay and Bayley double team Cross until Kay turns on her to boos. Kay swings at Bliss on the apron but misses. Banks runs interference as Bayley rolls Kay for a 2 count after Royce failed to interfere. Bliss gets dropped on the floor. Banks runs in to double team Kay but Cross breaks up Bayley’s pin. More back and forth until all three go down. Bliss tags in and clotheslines over Bayley and Royce, who also tagged in. Bliss unloads on both of them now. Bliss dropkicks Bayley and drops knees on Royce, then takes Bayley down with right hands after mounting her. Banks runs in but Bliss hits a Thesz Press and rights, the same to Royce. Bliss knocks Banks off the apron and then hits a crossbody to Bayley and Royce at the same time. Bliss with kicks to Bayley in the corner.

Banks tags in and unloads on Bliss on the corner. The chaos continues and they all go down on the floor as the fans chant “this is awesome!” now. Royce brings Banks kin. Kay runs in and stops Bayley, then they double team her to send her back out to the floor. The IIconics continue to double team Banks but Cross and Bliss make the save.

Bliss and Cross take control with a double team. Bliss ends up hitting Twisted Bliss on Royce in the middle of the ring. Bliss holds it for the pin but Banks runs in and steals it, covering to retain.

Winners: Sasha Banks and Bayley

After the match, Banks and Bayley take their titles to ringside to celebrate as the music hits. They lean up against the announce table and raise their titles as we go to replays. Banks and Bayley continue to taunt the other teams on the way to the back.

Back from the break and we see how Sasha Banks and SmackDown Women’s Champion Bayley recently won the WWE Women’s Tag Team Titles.

We go to the ring and out come WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions Sasha Banks and SmackDown Women’s Champion Bayley for their big celebration. Cole hypes Banks and Bayley vs. The IIconics vs. Alexa Bliss and Nikki Cross at WWE Backlash on Sunday.

The boos immediately start and Bayley isn’t happy. The crowd chants “you suck!” now and Bayley disagrees, bragging about how good she is and untouchable she is. Bayley says it can be lonely at the top but she has her best friend, Sasha. Banks also brags about their success and says they will only get stronger because together they are unstoppable.

The boos continue and Bayley tells Banks not to listen to these people. She wrote a poem to tell Banks exactly how she feels. Bayley goes to read her poem but the music interrupts and out comes Bliss and Cross. Bliss is cool with them celebrating their win but she has to draw a line at poetry. Bayley throws a fit over their moment being ruined. Cross taunts them as they enter the ring. The IIconics interrupt on the big screen next. Peyton Royce and Billie Kay, with the RAW logo in the background, taunt the others in the ring and. They suggest the champs not turn their backs on Cross and Bliss. Banks and Bayley turn around to an attack from Bliss and Cross. They clear the ring of Bayley and Banks as The IIconics look on from the big screen, laughing at everyone. Bliss’ music hits as Banks and Bayley yell at them from the floor.

Asuka vs. Charlotte Flair

We go right to the ring for tonight’s opener as RAW Women’s Champion Asuka makes her way out for this non-title match. Mike Rome is about to announce Asuka’s opponent but the music interrupts and out comes new WWE Women’s Tag Team Champion Sasha Banks. Her partner, new WWE Women’s Tag Team Champion and SmackDown Women’s Champion Bayley joins her. They head to the ring together as Asuka stares them down.

The boos pick up and Bayley tells them to relax because they should be thanking she and Banks for bringing their star quality to RAW. They go on and brag about winning the titles from Nikki Cross and Alexa Bliss on SmackDown. Asuka interrupts as they go on and she’s not happy, this is her ring. Bayley fires back and tells her to back off and… the music interrupts and out comes Charlotte Flair, who is all smiles.

Flair tells them to enjoy the spotlight but hurry up because she and Asuka have a match. She goes on but is interrupted by The IIconics, Billie Kay and Peyton Royce. Peyton says the match everyone wants to see isn’t Flair vs. Asuka tonight, it’s happening at Backlash on Sunday as The IIconics face Banks and Bayley, plus Bliss and Cross in a Triple Threat. They do their “IIconic!” pose and Asuka isn’t happy. She rants some in Japanese. Flair insults the champions and calls them garbage for needing a title. Bayley and Banks suddenly attack Asuka and Flair. Banks and Bayley have words with The IIconics in the middle of the ring but Flair and Asuka come back from behind on both teams. They clear the ring and stand tall together as we go to commercial.

The IIconics vs. Sasha Banks and Bayley vs. Asuka and Charlotte Flair

Back from the break and Asuka vs. Charlotte Flair is now a non-title Triple Threat. Flair and Asuka stand together, yelling at The IIconics and Sasha Banks and Bayley. The bell rings and here we go finally.

Peyton starts off with Banks and they go at it back and forth. Banks ends up hitting the Meteora but Royce rolls her up for 2. They collide with dropkicks and both connect as fans applaud them. They mush each other in the middle of the ring now. They then turn and charge, knocking Flair and Asuka off the apron. Bayley tags in for the double team on Royce. Bayley drops a knee on Royce for a 2 count.

Royce takes Bayley to the corner and in comes Billie Kay for the double team. Bayley kicks out at 2. Kay counters Bayley in the corner and nails a big elbow to the head. Kay with a modified suplex for a 2 count. Flair ends up coming in and forcing Kay out. Flair backs Bayley into the corner. Fans chant “we want Asuka!” and Flair tells them to shut up. Flair unloads on Bayley with shoulder thrusts in the corner.

Tom says Flair vs. Asuka will still happen tonight. Bayley turns it around on Flair and tags in Sasha for double teaming on Flair in the corner. Bayley tags right back in for more double teaming on Flair. Flair fights them off and levels Banks with a clothesline as Asuka tags in. Asuka knocks Bayley off the apron with a Hip Attack and goes to work on Banks. Asuka with a Hip Attack to Banks in the corner, then strikes and a running bulldog to The IIconics. Asuka dances around after running wild on her opponents. We go to commercial with Asuka standing tall.

Back from the break and Kay levels Asuka with a big boot for a 2 count. Royce tags in for the double team to Asuka for another 2 count as Banks breaks it up. Banks and Bayley both go down again as The IIconics show off. Flair tags in and kicks The IIconics. Flair launches Royce over her head. Flair misses Banks and Bayley as they jump back off the apron as she charges. Flair decks Kay and in comes Asuka off a tag. Asuka and Flair have some tension overt he tag. Asuka unloads to Kay but Flair tags herself back in and they argue some more. Flair unloads on Kay. More back and forth now. Flair levels Kay with a big boot. Flair goes to the top for the moonsault, telling Asuka to watch how it’s done. Asuka tags herself in and runs over to apply the Asuka Lock on Kay while Flair is up top. Kay taps for the finish.

Winners: Asuka and Charlotte Flair

After the match, Asuka’s music hits as she and Flair face off in the middle of the ring. Asuka raises her title in Flair’s face. Flair comes back and runs over Asuka with a clothesline as boos pick up. Flair taunts Asuka with her own title, raising it int he air while she’s down. Flair taunts Asuka and says she’s never defeated her. Flair’s music hits as she drops the title over Asuka.

Asuka vs. Charlotte Flair

We see The IIconics watching on the other side of the barrier. The IIconics suddenly attack Banks and Bayley at ringside, destroying them with ease. They drop Bayley on top of the announce table with a Fall from Grace. We go to commercial.

We see what happened last week between The IIconics and WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions Alexa Bliss and Nikki Cross.

Billie Kay vs. Nikki Cross

We go back to the ring and The IIconics’ music hits but the camera cuts backstage to the two teams arguing. WWE Producer Adam Pearce appears and gets in between them. We go to commercial.

Back from the break and WWE Women’s Tag Team Champion Nikki Cross goes at it with Billie Kay to start. Women’s Tag Team Champion Alexa Bliss and Peyton Royce are at ringside. Cross fights Kay off and takes her from turnbuckle to turnbuckle for a pop. Kay goes down. Cross keeps control and nails a dropkick for a 2 count. Kay kicks Cross away and then levels her with a big running boot. Cross kicks out at 2.

Kay argues with the referee now. Kay takes Cross to the corner and kicks away. Kay with a boot to the throat now as the referee warns her. Kay with a suplex for a 2 count. Kay talks trash to Bliss and Cross rolls her up for a 2 count. Cross looks to mount offense but Kay levels her with a big right hand for another close 2 count. Kay grounds Cross in the middle of the ring now. Kay keeps Cross grounded and taunts her while Royce does the same at ringside. Cross tries to fight up and out but Kay drops her with a backbreaker. Kay does her IIconics pose.

Kay drops an elbow on Cross for another close 2 count. Kay argues with the referee some more and Bliss just laughs at her. The crowd boos. Kay slaps Cross around and taunts her. Cross fights back. Cross takes Kay down with a running forearm. Cross with a running shot to the corner and a bulldog for a pop. Cross goes to the apron and uses the middle rope to kick Kay back. Cross goes to the top for a crossbody but Kay moves and she hits the mat hard. Kay grabs Cross and hits the Boyfriend Stealer for the pin to win.

Winner: Billie Kay

After the match, Bliss checks on Cross in the ring. The IIconics pose on the ramp as their music hits.

We go to the ring and out come The IIconics – Peyton Royce and Billie Kay. Back to commercial.

Back from the break and The IIconics are in the ring with mics. Peyton goes to apologize for last week first but Kay interrupts and says she’s sorry for slapping Royce after losing her cool. They’ve come so far together and she doesn’t want anything to get in the way of that. They go on about signing their contracts together and winning the titles at WrestleMania together. They never had an opportunity to defend their titles and should still be the WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions. They take shots at Alexa Bliss and Nikki Cross before the music hits and out come the champions with their titles.

Bliss says The IIconics have had every chance in the world but they blew it. Cross goes to speak as they enter the ring but The IIconics interrupt her and tell her to stand there and be grateful. Cross fires back and goes on about taking the same steps to get to WWE. Cross goes on about sacrificing on her WWE journey as the developmental talents cheer her on. Cross talks about her friendship with Bliss. The IIconics suddenly attack and beat the champs down. They try to fight back but Kay and Royce beat them down. They drop Cross with the double team as the boos continue. Kay and Royce bring the titles back in and raise them while talking down at Bliss and Cross.
